DPI invites nominations and applications for the position of Project Manager (Program Coordinator) of our tech workforce programs. This position works under the direction of the Director of Workforce Education and this position will lead the end-to-end management and administration of daily operations for our tech workforce programs. The Project Manager will provide hands-on project management and support for multiple projects and programs within workforce development.

 

The Project Manager will provide hands-on project management and support for multiple projects and programs within workforce development. This successful candidate is a proactive self-starter, able to manage multiple initiatives at once, is goal-oriented, and a resourceful team player. Additionally, the Project Manager has strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail, is process and data driven, and has outstanding time management and communication skills. The ideal candidate is excited about project management, can quickly develop strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and is ready to accept new challenges by diving into the complexities of DPI’s impactful programs. 

 

  • Oversee the daily operation of programs, ensuring that program/project mission, values, guidelines, policies & procedures are implemented & maintained, and manage the ongoing development and expansion of DPI's tech workforce programs. 50%
  • Manage and prioritize program logistics and cohorts to ensure student success and employer satisfaction. 10%
  • Develop project plans and monitor and communicate progress to ensure projects are completed on schedule, initiating, and managing project status and information in the form of formal briefings, project update meetings and written, electronic and graphic reports. 10%
  • Engage with project stakeholders and partners to garner resources and support to positively impact program outcomes, ensuring programming needs and desired student outcomes are being met. 10%
  • Track and follow up on issues, manage risks, and be comfortable with common project management terminology and stages. 5%
  • Create impactful decks, briefings, reports, and emails that are professional and visually appealing. 5%
  • Design, implement and document best practices and processes that enable teams to move quickly and efficiently. 5%
  • Perform related duties as assigned. 5%

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
A total of one (1) year (12 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position

*Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1 year) of work experience.

 

Preferred: 

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a field related to position. 
2. A total of two (2) years (24 months) in professional business administration, educational or training environment, or work experience in program or project management.
